The 2023 Stabicraft 1550 Frontier marks the much-anticipated return of a popular model. Stabi has reworked and rearranged the model for broader end-user appeal and expanded on the features of its very popular smaller sibling, the 1450 Frontier, while offering an open-boat style alternative to the immensely popular 1550 Fisher.
A removable casting platform in the bow is a great feature of the Profish package and an option in others. It is built tough enough to stand on with total confidence but still light enough for one person to carry & stow. This feature allows for the ability to quickly reconfigure your boat whether heading out to lure fish from the bow or to carry passengers in the bow seating area. The bow casting deck is complimented by the standard forward locker lid and an additional platform on the winch cover which together forms a huge area to cast from.
Flexibility has been allowed to accept both flush mount electronics and binnacle mount. The standard console in all packages is set up to optimise a bracket mounted sounder with a large flat area on top behind the windscreen. However, you can option in a console with a bigger front face that can accommodate up to a 15in flush mount screen in some brands. Maybe security is a factor or personal preference, either way, we have you covered.
The 1550 Frontier transom is an evolution of the 1550 Fisher transom architecture but with improvements made for better battery access & storage.
We have included a powder coated door that tidily hides the battery shelf and provides an additional storage compartment. Like the 1550 Fisher, the ski pole socket can take a pole-mounted bait board but we have also introduced a deluxe bait board with a dry storage locker on the Profish package and as optional on others. A live bait tank is included in the Profish and optional on other packages.
ADVENTURE: All the basics plus some awesome standard features. This package is a weapon with EVA foam as standard on all the topside surfaces, dual boarding platforms and a ladder too. It’s a very big boat for its size, you’ll be blown away with the room onboard. The Adventure boat is set up for tote-tank fuel with a fully welded treadplate floor. A windscreen & grabrail is also included as standard, and a selection of available options allows the addition of a bait board, coaming handrails, Fishpro seat, washdown pump and the awesome removable casting platform in the bow.
SPORTFISH: Easy to get into with the flexibility for some serious upgrades. The Sportfish package is aimed at end-users wanting a few more features included as standard like the bow trolling motor bracket, fish pro seat & coaming handrails but it also presents a wider ability to option up further. Available options on the Sportfish package include the addition of an underfloor 60L tank, Live Bait Tank, Deluxe bait board with storage, and even EVA flooring to match the coaming tops.
PROFISH: All the fruit included! This is the top tier 1550 Frontier package with some big features included as standard, Stage 1 paint, EVA flooring, Live bait Tank, Trolling motor mount, removable casting platform and many more. There are only a handful of extra options to choose from on top because this package is already fully loaded off the showroom floor and ready for everything you throw at it.
